I just unearthed another Little Rock ‘mafioso’

He’s The Arkansas Gazette‘s former production chief, Austin Ryan, now vice president for production in the newspaper division.

Ryan is at least the 11th person who survived the Little Rock paper’s 1991 failure — then rose to prominence in Gannett: He was named Corporate Staffer of the Year in April. I call us the Little Rock mafia.

Another 2adpro detractor that doesnt have the skills and determination to make it work…

I have known Austin for a number of years and have always found him to be honest and approachable. I respect him a great deal.

I think it is time to focus on these people that cannot make 2adpro work when there are many others that have.

Maybe these failures need to get whacked.

All you people that complain, where is the evidence to support your claims. Jim has asked for it over and over, lets see it, all of it. That includes the lousy instructions you probably gave them.

The business stat that would determine the success of the outsourcing is credits.
Are newspapers granting more credits to advertisers because of shoddy work? Do those credits offset the savings from outsourcing?
If the customer base is happy and the costs are lower, there is not much the workforce can do except find other ways to bring value to the company.
I wish some bean counter would report on the granting of credits.

I Met him once; he seems to have a very infirm grasp of reality. What he thinks is always right, and thats that. I imagine his salary would be money well saved.
