What women chat about on Cincy’s ‘moms’ site

“Never have I heard a man pass on a blow job.”

Instead of going to ‘Moms Like Me’ we should be pushing ‘Moms Lick Me’… even we could make money on a porn site….

As a young single guy, that thread was incredibly uncomfortable… much like listening in on girlie bathroom talk. Then again, I know I’m not the intended audience. However, it does give me hope that there are – in some cases – BJs after marriage…

Also, what does DH stand for? Something husband, I’m guessing…

All the more amazing: Unless things have changed, the Enquirer has a VERY conservative editorial page — reflecting a very socially and politically conservative community. I wonder if Publisher Margaret Buchanan ever reads these sort of CincyMoms comments?

DH = Designated Hitter. Guy who comes in cuz the pitcher sucks. So to speak.

Although, isn’t Cincy is one of those National League team towns? Maybe she has a switch hitter?

This talk isn’t hurting anyone, is it?

@5:08 pm: And Gannett spokeswoman Tara Connell thinks I sensationalize?!

  7. Anonymous Says:

Now wait. Is “pureromance” selling products on a forum? I didn’t think that was allowed.

5:08, DH can stand for Dear Husband, Darling Husband … or, other things, depending on frame of mind of the writer. If hubby is on the “bad” list, the D isn’t positive.

  9. Anonymous Says:

DH= Darling Husband, or Dearest Husband/Hubby, something like that.

I think the conversation is hilarious, funny and sexy. Guys, even today, have trouble with the fact that women like and talk about sex…even wives!

I thought DH meant Dick Head.

The idea of a Mom’s site is so yesterday, and I’m a mom. Does Gannett really think they can make money on this? Nothing like showing up late to the game – as usual.

DH? A better abbreviation is SD.
A “stunt double.” A fantasy a husband has when he would like his wife to do things she’s uncomfortable … performing.

i thought this thread was awesome because it’s the perfect example of people using their control of the media. sure, maybe it’s not up to the standards of the past, but it’s better that the people be empowered to control their own speech than for a dying MSM operation to cling to the “gatekeeper” role no one wants any more.

Gotta tell ya – just went to the Cincy Moms site to read the comments and I LOVE IT! Couldn’t believe my eyes, really. I sat here with my mouth agape and after a bit, burst out laughing. What a great forum for ALL women to enjoy sharing their problems and triumphs in the BR. Keep On Bloggin, Cincy!!

What’s amazing is that Citizen’s for Community Values (based in Cincinnati) hasn’t gone after the Enquirer for it as they recently went after City Beat, a free weekly alternative publication for ads in their print edition.

And, regarding Buchanan’s contributions, she’s lead the Enquirer into such a decline that I think she’d do almost anything for a buck these days.

When did giggles and descriptors like “down there” replace words like cunniligus, fellatio, penis and vagina? (Excuse mispellings. 7th grade was a long time ago for me.)

I must have missed a generation. Is that kind of talk really back in style?

What a sad site. Pitifully backward and such a diservice to women.

From reading this comment thread, I’d say you all deserve to be laid off. It’s lack of innovation that keeps this business stuck in the past.

If this is what’s going to save our business, I say go ahead. They can talk about whatever they want so long as the money they’re making continues to keep me employed and writing news.

    Right, go ahead

Let’s not forget that local information centers are paying moms in the community to “participate” on these sites. It happens at my LIC and it’s somewhat deplorable. Some, if not all, sites are even granting non-Gannett community “moderators” the abililty to flag and delete comments, and boot users for violating user agreements. Can’t wait to see how that all works out.

  20. Anonymous Says:

    How much are they paid?
Are the “paid” clicks counted the same as the non-paid ones?

I thought anyone could flag a comment for review.
