Calling Detroit: How many applied for the buyouts?

The deadline has now passed for employees to apply for 150 buyouts at the Detroit Free Press, The Detroit News, and at the joint operating agency publishing the two dailies. I don’t know whether that means all 150 have been taken. There might be more — or less, which was the case at USA Today late last year. The paper sought 45 volunteers, but wound up settling for 43. (I was one.)

So, Detroit: How about an update? Please post your replies in the comments section, below. To e-mail confidentially, write gannettblog[at]gmail[dot-com]; see Tipsters Anonymous Policy in the green sidebar, upper right.

Wasn’t there more to this post this weekend? Info about Joe Grimm and his buyout (which has also since been removed from his blog with no explanation)?

    I lost that link.
