Reflecting on a smile, and a view of Notre Dame

Part of an occasional weekend series about Ibiza and surrounding areas.

A reader told me in a comment on this post that I don’t smile enough — so I made an extra effort as I photographed my reflection in a Parisian cafe mirror, when Sparky and I stopped for a beer and an espresso (above and inset, left) one night last week. We were in the French capital to see two friends, visiting the city for the first time from their home in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The evening before, I shot a picture of Notre Dame (below), now looking spiffy after preservationists scrubbed decades of soot off the exterior.

I like the way the iconic cathedral is illuminated at night.

    Jim, it is the smile police again…you are handsome with AND without the smile. In this latest toothy pic of you, you look so much more relaxed, as if you are actually enjoying your vacation! Cheers!

    @6:32: Thanks!
